[ET Net News Agency, 20 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$154.2
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$26.88 billion, or 17.43% of the market's
turnover. There were 803 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.33 billion and HK$2.7 billion, or
16.13% and 10.05% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 26.37% and 34.08% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$2.04 billion and HK$1.99 billion of
short sales, accounting for 7.59% and 7.42% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 15.54% and 39.96% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.12, or 0.47%, to HK$25.64. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$2.52, or
6.94%, to HK$33.8. BABA-W fell HK$7.6, or 5.76% to HK$124.4. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$0.82, or 0.92%, to HK$88.2.
